I planted a lot of purple things in my garden this year commemorating Prince, my all-time favorite musical hero. Obviously I missed planting a very important flower.

That’s funny a prince theme. A found a purple petunia volunteering. The funny thing is I’ve nevr grown a purple petunion here’s I’ve only had red and white. It was a lovely surprise!!

Sweet peas in Tennessee? Lucky you!

There are some heat-tolerant varieties. This one “Cupani” is from Sicily. It seems to be holding up okay for right now. Renee’s Garden also has a few heat tolerant ones grown in CA.

You’re so right, Gail! Some things are just perfect as they are! I love pale purple bean flowers and bright yellow squash flowers. Nature makes wonderful colors!
