    Wow! Gorgeous shot! When our lettuces bolt, they’re pulled for the chickens, who don’t seem to have the same response to bitterness that we do!

    It’s the first one to bolt, I have other plantings coming along now. Then after those are done I’ll have to wait until fall!

    When you’re saving seed, bolting is a wonderful thing! The bitterness that accompanies it is an obvious survival trait!
