Great Sunflower Project: First Observation
I strutted back to the house dramatically waving my official data sheet and clip-on ball point pen, DH looked a little startled when I popped inside the back door. “Back so soon,” he questioned, as if I had forgotten something. I triumphantly proclaimed that there at least five bees, no, at least six bees, all on the lone flower when I arrived. I hurriedly grabbed the camera, returned the stop watch to DH and headed back to the garden to capture the awesome sight.

The Great Sunflower Project
I received my free Lemon Queen Sunflowers seeds exactly two weeks and five days after I signed up to participate in the Great Sunflower Project. (GSP)
The seeds are from Renee’s Garden, but they are in specially printed envelops for the the GSP.
In my first post about the GSP, I was under the impression that the data collection days were set, but this is not the case, you can do it on day at any time, preferably twice per month during the blooming season.
There’s a thunder storm today, so I won’t be planting them yet, but hopefully this weekend.
There’s still time to get your free seeds. If you want to participate, visit their website to sign-up.
